Mr. Ken Koller serves Global Learning and Leadership as a Director and senior Advisor in the STEM areas of technology applications and marketing.  Mr. Koller is the CEO/COO of Advanced Ceramic Fibers.  ACF is a start-up technology company.  Mr. Koller is a member/owner and senior executive providing leadership for technology development and for future domestic/global market penetration.  He has served in this capacity for seven years.  ACF produces advanced, high performance carbon fiber-based materials with unique material characteristics applicable to ultra-high temperatures and extreme environments.  Under Ken’s leadership, ACF is achieving success developing technology for applications in areas of infrastructure, transportation, energy, aerospace, and defense.  Performance characteristics of ACF fibers include high tensile strength and operability for conditions greater than 4,000 degree Fahrenheit, and for greater resistance to fatigue and corrosion.  

Mr. Koller has been on the cutting edge of research, development, and testing technology for diverse industrial sectors for 40 years.  His current focus is to develop the fiber material technology, trademarked “Quad-XE™”, for applications such as advanced aircraft turbine engines, stationary power systems, hypersonics, and space, nuclear propulsion systems.  ACF ceramic fibers are beneficial for manufacturers in the transportation sector as the composite materials allow for lighter, stronger more fuel efficient vehicles.  In the nuclear energy sector, ACF fibers can be incorporated into construction of reactor vessels, fuel rods shields, and components requiring high performance in extreme environments.  ACF ceramic fibers provide the capability to expand the material limits for forces impacting aircraft, space exploration and in defense markets.  ACF's "Multi-Layer Armor Suppression System", MASS™, utilizes a unique armor structure that can mitigate explosive blasts and projectiles.  Ken’s leadership and extensive technology expertise provides a focus to transform the reinforced materials marketplace.

Mr. Koller has worked as a consultant for major corporations and small business firms requiring marketing services to high-technology companies, new business startups, technology transfer support, and for laboratory technology spin-offs.  He served as the virtual marketing manager for Sitkins’ International to support clients requiring risk management expertise and asset protection throughout the U.S., Canada, South America, and Australia.  Ken served as President of Hartwell Corporation and as a VP/Corporate Officer for MACTEC, Inc. responsible for strategic planning, business development for transfer of innovative technologies from government to private and international business sectors.  Previously he held lead manager positions with EG&G for waste technology development/integration, R&D, facilities and engineering, and energy management.  With Westinghouse Corporation, Aerospace & Defense, Ken served as the Program/Marketing Manager for Nuclear Instrumentation and Controls Dept.  Mr. Koller is the co-author of the book “Make the Noise Go Away, The Power of an Effective Second in Command”.  Mr. Koller holds a B.S. in Business Management, and certifications in business and program management, and for technology transfer application analysis.
