Student Elements
- Leadership Training through a Program Leadership Team (PLT) at the building, district, or community level involving administrative and grade level and community leaders in a Growth Management Process to build the skills necessary to create the vision, develop, and execute plan, evaluate, and determine next steps.
- Professional development for staff centered on inquiry-based instruction, project-based learning, in-class modeling, personal and team coaching, and continuous PLT planning and program review.
- Positive classroom management strategies and the development of an engaging and activity rich school culture.
- Use of a multiple measures approach to determine impact and efficacy of the program.

- College and Career Readiness reflects on expanded view of post-secondary education and the breadth of real-world career awareness.
- Knowledge and skills constructed for deeper learning and academic success.
- Rich, real-world experiences through internships, mentorships, online participation with scientists, engineers, and others in their work and research.
Community Elements
- Active and continuous involvement by business, industry, government, civic, parent, and community-based entities to support real-world experiences for students and educators.
- GL2, working with educators, will map the competencies and skills of community partners to the relevant educational standards in the school district and of the state.
- Working with community partners, GL2 will work to establish internships, mentorships, summer jobs, on-site visitations, in-class presentations, online exchanges, and more to create a Total Learning Community with the school or community agency as the hub at all educational levels.
GL2 believes that whatever you call it, the focus is on a balanced curriculum showing the presence of STEM in ALL subject areas. Students today must be shown the integrated nature of learning, not a siloed approach. The world today does not operate in a silo.
